NVIDIA has announced the release of version 1.5 of its open Ising calibration model. This system is a vision-language model (VLM) designed to interpret diagnostic outputs from quantum processors and determine the necessary settings for their continued operation.

The key improvement in the 1.5 update is the model's ability to analyze unfamiliar diagnostic results without using examples from previous training. This enables fully automated calibration of quantum processing units (QPUs) based on artificial intelligence.

The tool is intended to allow quantum systems to independently determine how they should be configured to continue functioning, relying on visual analysis of current equipment metrics.
