Why it matters
Possible consequence — increased demands for transparency of election-related search responses and disclosure of their sources. The next observed signal will be publication of a full AlgorithmWatch analysis or Google's position on current limitations. Substantial uncertainty remains: only a brief summary of one source is available, without primary materials and confirmation from Google.
